The Original Japanese Jersey (OJJ) is the signature fabric of Ten c — a polyester-nylon interlock jersey exclusively manufactured in Japan and finished through our own unique processes.
Developed to embody the brand’s philosophy of longevity and transformation, OJJ combines innovation, resilience, and tactility. Primarily used for outerwear, it’s an extremely versatile fabric: in addition to jackets and coats, it also appears in the details of sweatshirts, down jackets, bags, and shoes — making it a central element of the Ten c collection.
"Our version though is a polyester-nylon interlock jersey derived from our own treatments. We dye the fabrics and then in order to make the material even finer, we dye the garment too. This treatment makes the overall material more compact."

It’s a living fabric, constantly responding to its environment.
When humidity rises, it softens; when dry, it becomes firmer.
This unique sensitivity gives OJJ its distinct structure and adaptability, allowing it to mold to the wearer over time — almost like a second skin. Through this ongoing transformation, the fabric reveals its character and depth, evolving with every use.
OJJ is manufactured exclusively in Japan, where precision meets tradition, and then cut, sewn, and garment-dyed by Ten c in Italy.
“The OJJ and the use we make of it best represent our way of working — pushing the characteristics of a material to their limits, until it acquires a new life. We use a material that starts as jersey, soft and natural, which is then mercerized, garment-dyed, and re-dyed again — a long process that transforms it into something compact and unique. Elastic as jersey, yet reactive to temperature and humidity, it becomes almost like a skin, shaping to your body and becoming one of a kind.”

Ten c crafts durable, technical and timeless garments designed to stand the test of time — pieces meant to be worn, lived and kept. Believing that true craftsmanship is a form of sustainability, each item embodies the idea of “seeing beyond”: transforming materials, and giving them a new life through meticulous work and patience.
Depending on the treatment, OJJ is available in different weights:
OJJ 12 oz: garment dyeing enhances the natural texture and individuality of each piece.
OJJ 11 oz: a piece-dyed version, softer and more fluid, offering a natural, lived-in feel.
OJJ 9 oz: a lighter interpretation, treated for smoothness and comfort — ideal for transitional wear.
